Birth doula support is designed to help families feel informed, prepared, and supported throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period. Support is personalized to each familyβs preferences, goals, and birth experience while creating a calm, encouraging environment during one of lifeβs biggest transitions. A birth doula provides emotional, physical, and educational support throughout the journey, helping families feel more grounded and confident as they prepare to welcome their baby.
Support may include prenatal planning, birth preference guidance, education around labor and infant feeding, and continuous support during labor and delivery. Families may also receive comfort-focused support through breathing techniques, labor positioning suggestions, counter-pressure, and guided relaxation throughout labor. Additional support may include:
Partner support and coaching during labor and birth
Support at home, a birth center, or hospital
Feeding support after delivery
Early postpartum bonding support
Local and virtual resource recommendations
Postpartum follow-up support depending on the package
Birth doula care is non-medical and works alongside your healthcare team to provide compassionate, nonjudgmental support throughout the birth experience. The goal is to help families feel heard, cared for, and empowered while navigating pregnancy, labor, and the transition into parenthood with greater confidence and peace of mind.
-
Postpartum doula support is designed to help families feel nurtured, supported, and less overwhelmed during the transition into life with a new baby. Every familyβs needs look different, which is why postpartum care can be tailored to provide emotional support, practical guidance, and reassurance throughout the early weeks after birth. Support may include newborn care guidance, infant soothing techniques, feeding support, and help navigating postpartum recovery so parents can feel more confident in their new routine. Doulas also provide encouragement and reassurance during moments of uncertainty, helping families feel less alone as they adjust to their new rhythm.
Postpartum support often focuses on caring for the whole family, not just the baby. This may include assistance with creating realistic daily routines, light household support related to baby care and recovery, and guidance for partners and family members as they adjust to their new roles. Depending on the selected package and availability, care may include daytime or overnight postpartum support to allow parents time to rest, recover, and bond with their baby. Additional areas of support can include:
Breastfeeding, pumping, or bottle-feeding guidance
Education around infant sleep and newborn care
Bonding and confidence-building support
Meal or snack support when applicable
The goal of postpartum doula care is to create a calm, supportive environment where families can recover, connect, and step into parenthood with greater confidence and peace of mind.

Lactation support is available for families who want compassionate, nonjudgmental guidance with feeding their baby. Whether a family chooses breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, or combination feeding, support is tailored to meet their individual goals and needs. Lactation support is designed to help parents feel informed, encouraged, and more confident throughout their feeding journey while also providing reassurance during the challenges that can come with the early postpartum period.
Support may include help with latch and positioning, pumping guidance, bottle-feeding support, flange fit education, and answering questions about milk supply or feeding routines. Families may also receive guidance through common feeding challenges, support with supplementation or combination feeding, and encouragement while transitioning back to work and balancing feeding or pumping schedules. Additional support may include:
Breastfeeding education and newborn feeding guidance
Help creating a feeding plan that works for the family
Emotional support around feeding goals and concerns
Guidance for establishing realistic feeding routines
Lactation support may be offered as part of birth doula care, postpartum doula support, or as a separate service depending on the familyβs needs. The goal is to provide caring, personalized support that allows families to feel more at ease and empowered in the feeding choices that work best for them and their baby.
